"Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

Matthew 25:34-40

May 7, 2017: Church of God Community Worship Center hosted a block party for the kids in the community of East St. Louis at the Christian Activity Center park. We had a great time grilling and hanging out with the neighborhood and look forward to gathering with them again. Special thanks to the Children's Hunger Fund; Illinois Church of God State Pastor, Eric Livingston; Photographer Alexy Irving; and our phenomenal members!

PASTEVENTS

Sweet Celebrations
Church of God Community Worship Center partnered with Sweet Celebrations to provide a birthday party for the children in Gateway 180 homeless shelter. Sweet Celebrations exist to share love through hosting birthday parties for children who other wise would not be able to have such a celebration. It was our pleasure to assist them in providing decorations and our time to fellowship with the children through a birthday party.

The Opal House
Our Women's Ministry prepared and served dinner to the ladies at The Opal House. The Opal House is partnered with the Veteran's Administration to provide emergency shelter and supportive services to homeless female veterans and their children. It was our pleasure to share a meal and conversation with the ladies who have served our country.

Haven of Grace
Our Women's Ministry poured out their love through service at the Haven of Grace Maternity Home located in St. Louis, MO.  They prepared a delectable taco bar for the residents and staff.  Each mom was blessed with a token of love from the women at COGCWC. We thank Ms. Debra and Ms. Sherri for continually welcoming our group back year after year!

Walk of Love 2013
Sis. Shannon Brooks was given a vision for an event that would raise awareness on violence in the community and offer productive programs and activities for youth during the summer.  With the participation of many community members and supporting churches, Church of God Community Worship Center was able to host an unforgettable event!
New Life Evangelistic Center
Each year, Church of God Community Worship Center collects gently used winter items and new toiletries and underclothes for women, men & children. Monetary donations are also welcomed. Items are organized and distributed directly to women, men & children in dire need. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support! All items were distributed to the patrons of the New Life Evangelistic Center located in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
Christian Activity Center Back to School Fair
Church of God Community Worship Center participated in the Christian Activity Center's Back to School event. We joined the kids with fellowship through arts and crafts.

Canfield Green Apartments
Ferguson, MO
Members of Church of God Community Worship Center responded to a community that experienced a tragedy on August 9th.  Michael Brown, an 18 year old unarmed man was gunned down by the Ferguson, MO police.  Since then, riots and looting ensued causing area stores to close early and imposing a curfew on the residents.  COGCWC went to visit with the residents of the Canfield Greens Apartments to share love with them through providing food, water and toiletries to those who were impacted.  We will continue to pray for all parties involved.
